  • I wrote a review of what’s new in WP 2.8 and I thought it might be interesting to people testing WP 2.8, or thinking about trying it:

    WordPress 2.8: What’s new – op111.net

(The review also links to a small list of plugins that are confirmed to work OK with 2.8).

If you see any important new feature missing, your comment is appreciated, here or there.

    Cheers!

  • good article
for reference, I have 74 plugins installed and 47 plugins active on my test sight
So here are 47 plugins working with the latest 2.8

    Thanks, samboll!

My experience with plugins is the same. Of the about 30 plugins I use, all work OK with 2.8 at this moment. (HeadSpace2 had a JavaScript problem with 2.8 at some point, but it was fixed about a month ago.)

Here is a direct link to the plugins I use:

    Plugins used – op111.net

Just a quick note for anyone stumbling upon this who hasn’t noticed:

WordPress 2.8 was officially released a few hours ago. You can upgrade automatically via the Dashboard or get a copy here:

    http://wordpress.org/download/

If you are not sure whether your theme or critical plugins work OK with v. 2.8, maybe it would be a good idea waiting a few days to see if any major compatibility issues are reported by early upgraders.

    Cheers!
