Standard Layout of Reviews looks very bad in my single product layout. My test review was shown. Just too many options shown and the reviews themselves show up in a tiny column.

Great to see many options with the shortcodes BUT:

    • But the one test review I have for this product was not shown anymore
    • The search field is not configurable and always shows. Not necessary for few reviews shown. Please add a shortcode option

    Hi,

    Thanks for using CusRev.

    – But the one test review I have for this product was not shown anymore
Please share a screenshot of this review in the admin area > Reviews > Reviews and share the product page URL where I can see the issue.

    – The search field is not configurable and always shows.
Please refer to this solution How to Remove Search Bar from Reviews?

I realise that the (manually added review by admin) shows the user as a “store manager” although he has a custom user role.

I hope this helps. URL is not publicly accessible. Shop still in development.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your additional information.

It looks like you added the review in the admin area when editing the product, is that right? Please submit a review on the product page with a star rating and check this again.

Yes, correct. I added the review manually as an Admin. As an admin I am not a customer so I cannot leave a review 😉 And I cannot check the implementation of the review form as an Admin…

btw: Having a Title within the Review Tab is kind of obsolete I think. Yes, with manually adding a CSS I can hide it.

So I have one manually entered comment and one genuine:

    • I tried to import the template to add the one comment officially. I got an error and “try again later” but it was still imported. But comment shows as “Reviewer” not as a “verified buyer”. When I added an order_id it showed “via CR”. But none of both show up at the product. Only the genuine comment written on the webpage showed up.
    • Exporting gave me also an error but worked once I deleted the manual entry.
    • The genuine verified comment did not have order_id on export.
    • The layout should be more flexible as it takes up a a lot of space with a two column design. Maybe give layout options.

I think a design to use the full width would make more sense as it runs already in a column within my product description.

Both Links “Find out more” and “verified overall ratings” lead to the (empty) link for review-authenticity. Somewhere I must apparently set it up.

    • I don’t think both links should be named the same and it is not necessary to have them repeatedly shown. The Overall Ratings seems to be placed automatically. Can I place it individually or disable?

    Thanks for providing additional information!

“Find out more” and “verified overall ratings” links are not added by our plugin. There is something else installed on your website that adds them. You can confirm it by temporarily deactivating our plugin and re-checking the page.
