Support » Plugin: WP Post Popup » Revert modal url on close?

    Hi!

I am trying out your plugin, which I like because it loads content on demand, instead of preloading everything. I am running into a couple of things, which I have some questions about.

When I click on a modal pop-up, the url changes. When I close the pop-up, the url doesn’t change back. Is there some way to change this to where it does revert back?

Alternatively, is it possible for the url to not change at all when I open the modal pop-up?

    Thanks!

Please see the demo site: https://wp-post-modal.allureprojects.com/ — the url reverts back without issue.

There is a plugin setting called “Dynamically update URL in address bar when modal is open” — you can turn this off

Thank you for your response. This option does not appear to be working for opening a popup via URL parameter. This is also the case in the demo site you posted above.

Is it possible to add an internal page popup to a WPBakery button?

For URL parameter the functionality is completely different. URL has nothing to revert to when you visit a URL parameter.

It should be possible to add an internal page popup. Just add the modal-link class to the WPBakery button.

Thanks for your explanation. I got it to work on WPBakery buttons, but it only works for pages. I have a custom post type called ‘popups’ which I want to use. Is this possible?

It should work for popups as well. Are you getting some error?

Okay, I got it to work. Don’t exactly know what I did wrong, perhaps some caching issue. Last thing, the modal close button is loading before the content loads if ‘Show animated loader’ is disabled. Any way to prevent this?

Where can I see that in action?
