[resolved] Reverse the cookie bar show/hide logic? (5 posts)

Great plugin, works ok for me with one small wrinkle when using Cloudflare CDN..
Once accepted cookies, the cookie bar (top position) flashes up briefly when changing pages on my site.
Perhaps it would be better to reverse the logic?
i.e. set the default css for cookie bar to display:none. Then use the jQuery to show the bar is a cookie is NOT found.
Seems to work ok on my dev system!

I'll look into that for the next release.

Thanks, I think that will be a good update, and it will also solve those users who say such as "it always displays for x seconds, even when have accepted cookies!" due to slow connections/later loading

Hi all, I have been asked to post the small hack I have used to prevent flashes of cookie-bar when pages open. So it is posted in the hacks forum here

I've just released version 1.5 of the plugin which incorporates this functionality.
