    Hi,

First of all, thank you for developing such a wonderful plugin. I really appreciate it as it gives a lot of insight in the behavior of customers 🙂

I have recently installed your plugin in a WooCommerce web shop of a friend of mine, but it ONLY fails to track the revenue, conversion rate and transactions.

On the other hand, it records:

    1. Shopping behavior
    2. Product list performance
    3. Checkout behavior (partially) –> all customers are recorded as “Proceed to payment drop-off”, even though they end up at the “thank you page”
    4. Manually set GA goals (not part of your plugin) to track conversions on the “thank you page” work fine
    5. So I am a bit in the dark here 🙂

I disabled all payment plugins (except default PayPal), security plugins and caching plugins, but to no avail. Every time I performed a test order, it was not recorded as a “Session with transaction” in GA Ecommerce, bur recorded as “Proceed to payment drop-off”.

I was wondering if you perhaps know what is causing the tracking error? I included the URL of a recent test order I performed in the “link to the page you need help with” box.

In addition, this is a list of plugins my friend has installed and activated in his web shop. Perhaps you know of existing conflicting plugins with your enhanced ecommerce plugin:

    • Advanced Custom Fields PRO
    • Autoptimize
    • Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
    • Contact Form 7
    • Duplicate Post
    • Google Reviews Widget
    • Google XML Sitemaps
    • iThemes Security
    • Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce
    • Klarna Order Management for WooCommerce
    • Loco Translate
    • Mollie Payments for WooCommerce
    • Product Options for WooCommerce
    • Simple Custom Post Order
    • SVG Support
    • WooCommerce Email Test
    • Wordfence Security
    • WP Mail SMTP Plugin by Mail Bank
    • WP Multilang
    • Yoast SEO

I hope you have a hunch of what is going on. Any kind of insight and help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Thanks and regards,
    Bark

    Hi @bark,

Thank you very much for appreciating us.

We have made a test transaction of id 9825 on your store and observed that the plugin worked fine till the checkout page but data at the thankyou page were not tracked. Also, we had thoroughly checked for the issue but did not find the exact culprit.

One thing, we would like to request you is that, could you please update our plugin to the latest version(2.3.4) so that we could be sure about the latest fixes.

Please post us once you update our plugin.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.

    Hi @tatvic,

Thank you for taking time to look into the matter. I have updated the plugin, but the revenue and transaction data are still not tracked.

3 years ago, coincidentally, I experienced the same problem with another web shop I remember. At that moment, I was using a third party plugin called “Track Code Manager” for the default GA tracking code. Once I disabled the plugin and checked the box “Add Global Site Tracking Code ‘gtag.js'” in your Enhanced Ecommerce plugin, it suddenly worked. I posted this reply then: Disable Tracking Code Manager plugin

However, currently the GA tracking code is injected directly in the head section of the theme’s template files, so I will have to ask the developers to remove it. I already checked the box “Add Global Site Tracking Code ‘gtag.js'” in your plugin with the GA tracking code already present in the HEAD section, but that did not work.

I also checked whether the Enhanced Ecommerce Javascript is present/injected after the FOOTER section on the “Thank you page”, and it is there 🙂 So I have no clue why it does not fire any hits/data to Google Analytics.

Perhaps any Javascript of the theme or other less obvious plugins could be the cause of the interference. I will ask my developers to look into it.

    Thank you so far.
    Regards,
    Bark

    Hi @tatvic,

Thanks for reaching out again. The developers are still looking into it, but the issue still persists 🙁

I have two questions though. We always use the Google Tag Assistant to see if tracking code is implemented and working correctly. I noticed that the Google Tag Assistent does not perceive the ecommerce tracking code on the shopping pages (excluding checkout) that fire hits to Google Analytics.

    1. So, is that only the case on my website, or does the Tag Assistant never perceive the ecommerce tracking code of your plugin?
    2. If the Tag Assistent should normally perceive the ecommerce tracking code of your plugin, what does it mean it does not?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi @bark,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We had made a test transaction earlier but could not find any reason why the conversion data did not get captured. Here we need to debug deeper to identify the cause of the issue but we are restricted to ask the information that we need for debugging due to forum policies.

Below are the answer to your queries:

    1) The Tag assistant correctly perceives the eCommerce tracking code via Tatvic’s plugin. If you are not able to properly see the tracking using the Tag assistant then you could install the dataslayer extension which is available for chrome and firefox browsers and while making the test transactions, you could look for the tracked data under the dataslayer section of Developer tools.

    2) Based on our experience the Google Tag assistant work properly on most of the websites however on some websites, it may work slowly or not work properly.

We hope the above lines help. Please post us if you have further queries.

    Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.
