Retrieving objects with AJAX (1 post)

    Hello,

I could really use some help on thinking up a approach to the following problem:

I have to build a carousel ( I use OWL Carousel for the JSON support) that has 2 categories, lets say books and clocks, now if you click on a link under the carousel that says book, the carousel should be populated through AJAX with the featured images of all the posts within the book category.

Then if you click on a featured image within the carousel the actual product/post should be retrieved, which is a carousel with images and some text.

Can someone give me a quick rundown on how I should approach this, should I use categories or tags? How can I retrieve the data I need through AJAX?

I've been looking around, and I think I get the individual parts of it all, but I don't know how to put it together.

I've found this, which I guess I should use some variant of:

    http://www.bobz.co/ajax-filter-posts-tag/

and this is the way OWL carousel handles JSON:

I would really appreciate some help,

    Thanks in advance!
