Restricting whole page
-
I use Elementor templates to display posts. “The content” is not really involved, the template itself uses ACF etc for displaying info. It seems these elements are not restricted by Pay for Posts. Is there any way around that? I hope this makes sense…

I would also like to know if this is possible. I use a custom post type and Elementor to create a template for the post type.
I can restrict standard post types/pages but even when I have enabled the setting to allow my custom post type to be restricted it is still visible. Is there any way to fix this or could you provide an alternative way to set up my CPT?
Many Thanks,
Will@wstone508 if you are using the premium version of the plugin, we have Elementor integration which allows you to protect any element on the page not just the whole page.
@willucs in the classic editor screen or block editor screen you will see the metabox which will protect the entire page, you set your protection settings there and then you can go and edit in Elementor. And like I mentioned to @wstone508 the premium version has ability to protect individual elements
@mattpramschufer You’re saying the default setting is to protect the whole page, right? But it doesn’t it only protects “the content” IE, the post body etc, not the elements that Elementor templates add. So the whole page isn’t protected, only the post content. I don’t think the premium version will allow protection of elements added to the page by an Elementor template, right?
With the premium version you can protect different elements inside of an Elementor page, like on our demo https://payforpost.pramadillo.com/premium-elementor-restriction/
Hey Matt,
Thanks for getting back to me. The main problem I have is that my CPT is created using a template in Elementor. This means If I want to restrict elements of the post I will need to do so in the Elementor template rather than directly in the post. Can you confirm that adding the Elementor widget to an Elementor template will restrict the content for posts created using the Elementor template?
I have attached a couple of screenshots:
https://ibb.co/0YRJLcF – The Elementor template; Could I replace the shortcode widget with the widget from your premium plugin to hide the content.
https://ibb.co/PGWTd5p – The actual CPT post, I would like to hide the element on the right (contact information) for each post using the CPT template.
What I’m struggling to understand is if I add your widget to an Elementor template will it apply to all posts associated with that widget?
Thanks 🙂
Will
Elementor has so many different ways to import/use templates that I can not be 100% sure. The only thing I can say is to give it a try and see. We have a 14 day free trial and a no questions asked refund policy within first 30 days. I wish I could tell you 100% yes or no, but I just don’t know!
Thanks for getting back to me.
Do you have a link for the 14-day trial so I can give it a shot?
You just buy the paid version and he’ll refund you within 14 days if it doesn’t work. Please let me know how it goes!

To follow up Matt, this plugin doesn’t work with elementor templates. When enabling pay for post through the elementor builder, we are asked which product to associate the page with. However, it is a template. There is no post to choose because it is variable. So for anyone who uses elementor templates to render posts, you cannot use this plugin at the moment. I wonder if it would be possible to fix this in a update?
