  • Hi All,

    I’m new to wordpress.
    I’m the administrator of my blog. I made my client also the administrator because he takes care of my blog(from designs, templates, writing, etc).

    I would like to know if there is any possible role that I could assign to him such that he doesn’t delete me from the blog but could do the writing and designing work.

    Thanks,
    Priya

  • I’m afraid there does not seem to be a role that meets your requirement.

    The link below gives you a description of the different roles.

    Hope that helps a little.

    The next role down from Administrator is the Editor role, but it is designed mainly to allow a user to manage content and not the themes or plugins.

    You might be interested in the Role Manager plugin. According to their site, “This Plugin allows you to define and manage multiple subscriber profiles – called Roles and their Capabilities. Also you can create new Roles and Capabilities.” So, you could create a role called Designer or Editor Plus with a custom set of capabilities.

    @hawksey,
    Don’t link to wordprss.COM FAQ from here – this is wordpress.ORG, and things not always work in the same way with the two different software!
