Is there a way to restrict search dates in the “Advanced Search” mechanism? We have an annual four-day event so it makes little sense for any other dates to be displayed. Ideally, when someone clicks in the date fields of the Advanced search, they would default to the first day of the event. Is this possible?

  • Hello,

Sorry but I’m a little confused with that you’re trying to achieve. If I get it properly, What you want is to restrict the date only show the start date of event range that you want? If that is correct then currently it’s not possible.

You may be able to do it with custom coding and modifying the template under: “events-manager/templates/templates/search”. The template file for the start and end date is events-manager/templates/templates/search/scope.php.

Here is also a documentation on how to use template files on your theme: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/

Could you perhaps provide a sample link of what you are referring to?

This is a restricted membership site so can’t point to pages, but it sounds like you’ve got it. I’d like for people to see the calendar when they click into the Start Date field (in Advanced Search), but would like for it to default to the first day of the event.

I’ll look into whether that’s possible through template modification. I’d also appreciate this being considered as a feature request as I imagine it would be useful to many.
    Thank you!
