• Hi, I have successfully set up User Frontend and it is doing exactly what I needed – I’ve been looking for something like this to get out of a mess of often conflicting plugins I had been trying. I have one problem remaining which is causing me problems as the site I am developing will rely on registered users submitting posts. Each user has been set the ‘Author’ level but if I prevent back-end access to everyone except Admins (which is a key requirement for me) users are no longer able to access the Press This bookmarklet – /wp-admin/press-this.php. They just get “Access Denied. Your site administrator has blocked your access to the WordPress back-office.”

Is there any way of making an exception for this page? Or maybe it’s as simple as copying it to another location, and if so, where?

    Thanks

  • why would you prevent back-end access to everyone?

Sorry, I didn’t explain that too clearly – I’m not preventing access to everyone, just to new users who sign up and are assigned the Author role. This is a feature of the WP User Frontend plugin which allows you to block back-end access at certain levels.
