Restricting access to media uploaded by other users

Hi,
I would like to prevent users other than admins and editors from accessing images uploaded by other users in the library. It only confuses them.

I have a function that works but only in grid mode. If the user switches to the list view, they can see all media.

Is it possible to make them see only their own files in the library?
