• I need to develop an evolution on a website and I don’t know which type of plugins I could use.

Goal: Some people have paid a subscription to a sports club, physical payment direclty @the club. A sportsclub member leaves on holidays, so the club would like to:

allow him to access to X videos, to keep on training
this access with a login / pwd must have an expiration date (no access when he’s back to the gym)
forbid the member to download / share the videos

The gym club has right now a classical wordpress website. Usually I ask to host the videos on youtube channel but with this method, sharing / download is possible. And for the club manager, he should be able to create an account for the user, tick easily such and such videos which Ok for this client program and then set an expiration date to this access.

Do you think I should look at Restricted Content plugins? I’ve never developed any site with such features. And how to handle the “non downloadable” point.

Tx for your help / tips, nice day
    Marine

  • While I’m here.

So you can’t do this with YouTube ( as far as I know ) because they can be downloaded.

Most people use Vimeo ( paid plan ), this has a feature that allows the video to be played only on your website so makes sharing difficult ( of course people can always screen record etc but then you can’t stop that sort of theft )

And then as you say to need a membership plugin that restricts access to the page the Vimeo is played on to just paying members.
