• Hi again,

I have found an issue with the restricted to members functions.

So if I add a file to and set “Select your privacy preferences.” on “Restricted to members” and add an subscriber, as an admin, when I login in front with the subscriber I do not see that file, there is no group involved in this.

    I have checked inside the:
    wp-content/plugins/buddydrive/includes/buddydrive-item-classes.php

    At line: 320

Here there is no check for the restricted access, either was removed the logic or I understood this function wrong.

I tried debugging this and tried understanding to have a way to implement this but probably not being a wp dev would mean It would take a lot of time to fix it and it will be removed in the future versions that you release, so hopefully I get a fix or a clarification.

    BuddyDrive v2.1.1

    Thanks,
    Victor Chiriac

  • Same issue.

BuddyDrive no longer recognizes/matches the group name when you choose Select your privacy preferences: Restricted to a group and begin typing in the group name. When I choose the Privacy preferences: Restricted to members, works fine and it still will start to recognize the name of the user I type and let me select that user to add, and it will allow that to be saved. However, when I try Select your privacy preferences: Restricted to a group, it doesn’t recognize/try to autocomplete the name. It doesn’t fine the group name at all. It does not let you save the group name that was manually typed in.

I have the latest versions of WPress and of all plugins/themes and have tried it with themes and plugins disabled.

What’s the ETA on a fix?

This is critical functionality and with the functionality unavailable, BuddyDrive becomes useless because our users don’t want to post unrestricted material.

Please advise and confirm what the fix is.
