    Hello,

I’m fairly new to WPPA so far it does all I require for my needs.
However, can I achieve that users (I’m using only public albums) can only upload photos to sub-albums so that the main (category) album keeps empty?

I searchd on the documentation but could not find any hints.

    Many thanks for help…

    Cheers

  • Okay, I figured it out on how to restrict upload just to sub-albums.

    1. I set restrict upload to own albums and published ones
    2. I set the parent album to the admin user, which is still showing the parent but removes the upload option for any other user

    Cool stuff!

    Right sir!

I love the plugin! Many thanks!

Just one laast question if I allow (non admin) users to delete photos, are they able to delete photos uploaded by other users?

If they have wppa_album rights (Album Admin: Tabe VII-A, first column), they can delete others photos at the frontend if the links are enabled e.g. in Table II-D17.

It is strongly recommended to NOT give non-admin users wppa_admin rights.
They can edit/delete there ow albums and photos, if you configure so, at the frontend.

My users do not have Album Admin: Tabe VII-A, first column set. However: Table II-D17 is activated.

I was concerned about the setting Table VII – D 2.7 as it is active on my site as I like (non-admin) users to be able to delete ONLY their own photos if they want.

So is that the correct setting?

Yes, ccorrect. If not admin or superuser (Table VII-D11,12), they can only delete their own photos because of VII-D2.7.
