On the careers page, we need the users to upload their CVs / resumes, but only in DOC / DOCX / PDF formats, and NO other formats at all, due to security reasons, but I am not able to resolve this issue for the last 3 days. I have used you file type restrict option in the “settings” but it does not really stop the user from uploading other files it (when the user chooses “all files” in the browse folder popup).

I seriously need your help. If you could tell me in what file I can change some code or update something somewhere to make sure the user cannot upload any other file formats, it would be life-saving.

    Thank you so much.

I tried to go through all the files and javascript as well, I did understand a few things but still need your help to know exactly which file is responsible for the “file upload” thing and where can I add the check (in the code itself) for the file format to make sure only the pdf and doc / docx files are uploaded.

    Awaiting your reply.

    Hi @arunace
It’s in plugin “Settings > Apply form”
When you add file fields, you can limit file types there.

Kepp in mind tah you will have to add all form field there, this form builder will reset the default apply form.

I’m having the same issue with file type restrictions. When the file browser opens up, it defaults to only show the custom file types I’m permitting; however, if I change the drop down to show “all files” I’m able to select and upload any file type.

    Hi,

I am also facing this issue. We are media industry so to apply for a job sometimes people need to upload their work as a short video, audio, etc. I also used file type restrictions provided by Blueglass but it allows other file types to be uploaded and then it shows the error saying this file type is not allowed.
It should not have allowed the user to upload the wrong file type at the first stage.

Please, solve this… this is serious.

    Thanks!

    Prashant… 🙂
