I am using Woocommerce for my site and love its features. We are a specialist company and deal explicitly with business to business users.

I would like a way to restrict registrations to deny certain email accounts. i.e. hotmail gmail etc This may seem extreme but from previous experience people using these emails are either spammers or competitors.

I wanted a way to deny these emails from registering. I found a plugin “ban-hammer” which claims to do this. But it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

Is there any reason it wouldn’t? does woocommerce use a different registration process to WP? Is there another way around this?

Have found some registration approval type plugins but this would put off wanted customers if registration is delayed. Could use some help here…. Thanks in advance.

The ban hammer author said he is using “the register_post() hook to filter” if that makes a difference.
