I run a Camera Club site.

Many of the Albums are for public viewing and the thumbnails view works well.

Unless I am mistaken “View as a slideshow” is a global setting and when I “enable comments” this is a global setting which applies to all albums being viewed as a slide show.

Is there any way I can make “View as a slideshow” apply to only certain albums. If I could do that my logged in members would be able to add comments and discuss an image while casual visitors only get the thumbnail viewing.

By the way thank you for the “bulk manager” I use it a lot !.. brilliant.

You can restrict commenting and rating to loggedin users. Will that do it?
    See Table IV-E1 and -F1.
Why would you want to prevent casual visitors to view the fullsize image as long as they cannot comment or rate?

The club members want the discussions and images to be private. I’ve now found a combination of your advice and using a shortcode on a page behind an access manager perfect.. Thanks Opa
