Our website http://www.firstoffice.in is hosted on godaddy. Sometime we saw the message for updating wordpress within godaddy and we tried that and it failed. Next we found that we were not able to login in to the admin. I was trying a couple of things I had seen here like resetting the plugins ( btw unable to rename the plugins but thats not a major issue for now )… and overwrote some files in the root directory ( mainly the wp-settings.php file ) since then my site is down….
I made a fresh install in a new domain http://www.gujaratamusement.com/gujamuse and tried copying the old wp-content folder and also changed the wp-config.php to point to my old mysql database by changing the DB name , password and location to point to the old DB — but try as I might I am simply unable to restore my site
So my question is how to restore my website with only the wp-content folder and the mySql database. I am hosted on godaddy and know a thing or two about FTP etc so fire away with your solutions. Any help is much appreciated
