Attempting to find the code that was saved with the install of the plugin originally. It was implemented with the previous webmaster who no longer has the info. Previous webmaster had in his GA account though removed which of course deactivated the plugins ability to access.

I see the UA number though no the tracking code in the setup. I can’t get access to the webmaster tools/Analytics from the client who has no idea where it is.

  • Hi,

Attempting to find the code that was saved with the install of the plugin originally.

The authorization code is an one-time code and GADWP exchanges this authorization code for an access token, afterwards the authorization code becomes invalid.

It was implemented with the previous webmaster who no longer has the info. Previous webmaster had in his GA account though removed which of course deactivated the plugins ability to access.

First thing first, check if your client can see the property listed here: https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#home/, while logged into his Google account.

I can’t get access to the webmaster tools/Analytics from the client who has no idea where it is.

If the property is available, ask him to clear the authorization and re-authorize the plugin using his own Google account and follow plugin’s documentation to properly setup it.
