    Hello,

I built a test site in WordPress; this was a new version of a static html site. My idea was to build a new WP site on a different domain (.info), so I could keep the static site active (.com/6 years at same domain/ 326 pages/SEO benefits etc.). My hope was to migrate the new WP site (.info) and replace the static html site (.com). I was hosting on a shared server with about 6 other WordPress and static html sites. This site and all the others were hacked. I have a backup version (I assume it is prior to the hack), however it is in sql.gz format.

What is my best route to rebuild the WP site? I bought a new .us domain which is hosted with a new company. I tried to import, and only the pages were imported (I’m not sure if the pages are clean or corrupted), image files were not, and page urls etc. did not transfer.

I have the sql.gz file from the old (.info)domain (this is not the destination domain/ .com). If I am successful in somehow importing the hacked .info site, will it work at the .us site? When I have a clean, operable, restored site with all urls/images etc. working, I will pay to have someone migrate this to the original .com site.

Ideas? I tried the plugin “downml” to get the media files (576 images); this didn’t work. I uploaded the image files to my wp-content/uploads folder and WP didn’t recognize or find them. I’d like to avoid manually reconstructing the pages. I did this just before the hack; it took 30 days.

I have resolved the issue. With the help of a few antimalware and security plugins, I was able to recover my files and resume work with the original site. Thanks.
