Support » Plugin: UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugin » Restoring older versions of other plugins? (I’m a newbie)

  • Resolved fontoradio

I updated few plugins and some of them (not even sure which) brought along an unwanted feature onto my website, that I can’t change or fix from any settings.

However, before doing those updates I made a backup of the website, including plugins. Is it safe just to restore those plugins? Will they be restored to the same older versions than before the update?

I just want to make sure before doing it, the last thing I want is more unexpected features just because I didn’t fully know how it works…

Thank you a LOT for advices and help in advance.

    Hi Ville,

Yes, you can restore just the Plugins section of the backup. This will reset your plugin files to the state they were in before the update.

Depending on the changes, you may also have to restore the database. This will reset your site content and options back to before the updates.
