I’m trying to restore plugins (only) from a backup and it’s not completing the process.

In the Activity Log window, I’m getting this message after it verifies:
    ****************************************************
    Final checks
Looking for plugins archive: file name: backup_2021-06-28-1217_helpinghandcollegeguidancecom_9af72aaabfae-plugins.zip
Archive is expected to be size: 54981.7 KB: OK
Will not delete any archives after unpacking them, because there was no cloud storage for this backup
    Plugins
    Unpacking backup… (backup_2021-06-28-1217_helpinghandcollegeguidancecom_9af72aaabfae-plugins.zip, 53.7 MB)

There has been a critical error on this website.
    ****************************************************

It seems like it’s timing out. I can unzip the backup file and replace the plugin files manually, but I’d like to see if someone can give me any clues as to why this is happening.

    Hi,

The log shows that the critical error occured after restoring the plugins. It is possible that one of your plugins is causing the issue. I would suggest deactivating the plugins and activating them one by one to find the culprit.

If you can’t access the dashboard, you can deactivate all the plugins by renaming the plugins folder via FTP. Once deactivate you can access your site back and rename the plugins folder back to its original name.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

Thanks, bcrodua. I performed the restore manually and the site is working again. I’m pretty sure I found the plugin that was causing the conflict. Thanks again!
