    Hi !

I have a WordPress Multisite but only work on the second site of my installation so far (mydomain.com/fr and not mydomain.com)

I used the restore function but Updraft plus tells me that restore is not complete (it also tells me that there are spaces in my files and it may corrupt a backup).
Hence my concern : how does Updraft Plus work, does it 1) either restore fully a backup or does nothing, or 2) can it restore partially a backup, with corrupted files in that case, which would mes the whole thing up ?

I need to know if I need to use a manual backup I did from my FTP / database to clean the whole thing up, even though that backup itself is quite old.

    Thanks for your answer 🙂

    Hi,

The free version of UpdraftPlus is not designed to run on a multisite. This feature is available asa paid-for add-on, which adds multisite support. Please see here for more details.

UpdraftPlus restores each section of the site individually, one at a time. If there is an error in the restoration, it can leave the site broken.

You can manually restore from an UpdraftPlus backup. To do so, download and unzip the backup files (UpdraftPlus backup files are standard ZIP archives). The contents can then be uploaded to the ‘wp-content’ directory.

Ok thanks ! That doesn’t answer my question though… 😉

    Hi,

If a backup set contains corrupted backup files, the restoration will fail part way through. This can leave the site partially broken.
