    Hi, how can I restore my old original SKU (from before the plugin installation)

    Thanks for reaching out to us about our WooCommmerce Product SKU Generator plugin. I’m happy to help.

    I’m afraid it’s not possible to restore the original SKU from before plugin installation. You can read more in our FAQ: What happens to my old SKUs?

    For this reason, we recommend that you selectively disable and re-enable the plugin if you don’t want to override SKUs when saving products.

    In this case how can I set which variation attributes I want to appear in my SKU?
    At the moment my Sku is based on my product name, size assortment name and product color, for example: D0425-YOUTH-JEANS, D0425 is the product name, youth is the size assortment name and jeans is the product color and it is all coming from the product variations.
    I would like to take out the size assortment name so the SKU would look like: D0425-JEANS
    which means the product name and its color without the variation size assortment name.
    Please advise how this can be done.

    Hey Ziv ( @ziv99 )!

    Our plugin offers four different combinations for SKU format when it comes to Variable products. It allows you to pick either attributes or variation IDs, though I’m afraid it’s not possible to pick and choose which attributes are displayed. When the attribute slugs are selected, it will show all attributes associated with that variation.

    The options are:

    • Parent Slug + Attribute Slug
    • Parent Slug + Variation ID
    • Parent ID + Attribute Slug
    • Parent ID + Variation ID

    Perhaps you could use the Variation ID instead so that you can avoid having all attribute slugs in the SKU. I’m sorry that I don’t have better news for you! Can I help with any other questions?
