# Restore error

 * Hello, I am trying to restore my website using UpdraftPlus, but I keep encountering
   this error: Error: Existing unremoved folders from a previous restore exist (
   please use the “Delete old folders” button to delete them before trying again):/
   mnt/stor11-wc1-ord1/981782/www.cogic.org/web/content/wp-content/updraft/themes-
   old I have used the “Delete old folders” button, but the error persists and the
   restore fails. I am not familiar with accessing my hosting file manager or FTP.
   Can you please help me resolve this issue so I can restore my backup? Thank you!—

 * The error indicates that an old restore folder (themes-old) was not fully removed,
   which is preventing the new restore from continuing.
 * Since the “Delete old folders” button did not clear it, an easier option (if 
   you’re not using FTP) would be to temporarily install a file manager plugin such
   as WP File Manager, then navigate to:
    - wp-content/themes-old
    - and delete the themes-old folder manually.
    - After deleting it, please try the restore again.
