I tend to make a mistake and just restore a backup as it’s easy. For example, I mess up on a site with a mass page builder and it’s easier to restore a working backup than fix 1000 pages right.

I always restore all the options in Updraft. But, if nothing has changed on the site other than content on some pages wouldn’t it make more sense to just restore the database? As that contains the structure of the pages. And maybe the other zip file just in case.

Is this fine to do? As the uploads, plugins, and themes don’t change. I use Elementor for all sites.

Or is this not possible? Or what files should I restore? Or do I actually have to restore all of them?

    Hi,

Yes, you can restore the components that you think was only affected with the change instead of restoring all components.

    Thanks,
