 * Does the script in the above mentioned post restore the Default WP Permissions?
   If not, how is this accomplished?

 * Hi **triplemoons**,
    Based on how many negative feedback you posted in past about
   AAM, I’m personally really surprised that you are still using it :-D. I must
   say Thank you, because you pushed us to rebuild AAM and make it better, stronger
   and faster.
 * Yes. The script above, restore default set of capabilities for administrator
   Role only. Any other default roles like Editor, Author or Contributor are skipped.
 * Appreciate your interest in AAM.

 * Hi Vasyl,
 * We are still using AAM because we _have_ to. We have not found a way to restore
   the default WP options so that we may start from scratch and get our roles fixed.
   If we uninstall, the AAM role modifications still affect the website.
 * Would it be possible to get a copy of this script that restores the defaults
   for _all_ roles?

 * Hi **triplemoons**,
    Well you do not _have_ to. I’m sure there are plenty of
   other plugins with the same functionality. Currently, we do not have the script
   that will restore default settings for all roles. However, we can develop it
   for you as part of our soon to be released customization program.
 * Instead of an hourly charge ($75/hour), just purchase the AAM Plus Package for
   $30, reconsider your AAM review and we’ll develop it for you.
 *  Regards,
    Vasyl

 * As mentioned, even if we uninstall, the AAM role modifications still affects
   the website. We have to continue using AAM because without being able to restore
   the WP Defaults, we’re stuck.
 * We also already purchased a license for the premium version of your plugin a
   long, long time ago. That’s why we’ve been so frustrated.
 * Thanks.

 * Hi **triplemoons**,
    Very good. Reconsider the review and we can develop the
   custom script for you.

 * Are you seriously telling me that you won’t provide a fix for the plugin we paid
   for despite you having the means to do so…Unless we modify our review of this
   plugin first?
 * Extortion much?

 * Please, post this link across the support forums, everyone should see this. Is
   it the worst plugin and I don’t understand how wordpress will let them continue
   to do this. Provide a plugin that messes up your site and then they charge you
   to fix it. I can’t use the updated version because it damages my site, and I
   cant remove it because it messes the roles up. We have a news website and now
   one person is having to post all the news for the editors. in addition we can
   use our events plugin. We can only do this by using an old version of the plugin
   that we luckily had on our computer. And they will not help us remove it for
   restoration.

 * Well, I gave him what he asked for…
 * I “reconsidered” my review of this plugin with a direct like to this thread.
 * > Plugin Author offers no support when problems arise, even for those that **
   > paid** for the premium version of the plugin. Plugin Author is also trying
   > to extort positive reviews for his plugin from his victims by exchanging fixing
   > the problems his plugin created in the first place for good reviews. Proof
   > of this is in the below link.

   > This plugin completely trashed the capabilities of our network installations
   > and despite requests for the months for a solution to strip this plugin completely
   > out and restore default permissions, we’re still stuck!
   > Save yourself the trouble and purchase Menu Editor Pro.

 * Hey tripplemoons, not here to cause trouble or add any more controversy on these
   forums. Just wanted to help advice you how you can get your controls back. I
   am not a database editor type so my resolution was to do the following.
 * 1/ Back up your database if you know how to, just incase the process doesn’t
   work for you, but I doubt it wont.
    2/ Turn off the Advance access manager plugin.
   3/ Upload and activate the User Role Editor plugin [http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/user-role-editor](http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/user-role-editor).
   4/ This plugin has the ability to RESET all roles (even the administrator role)
   So go to settings and select User Role Editor, and then add administrator to
   the editable roles (it described in different words but u’ll figure it out) 5/
   Go to User–>User Role Editor. And the rest is ABC, when you see the big reset
   button.
 * If it works then you can either keep it or uninstall the plugin. When it resets
   the roles, it will delete permissions giving to you specifically by new plugins.
   For example it deleted my woocommerce options. However all you have to do with
   those plugins in particular is deactivate and activate them back. That’s really
   all I wish this AAM plugin cud do. If it could have, I would have probably kept
   it.

 * I saw this problem was fixed by author plugin. I just restore admin rights by
   using the code srcipt _index.php. I wrote an article [https://www.zensky.net/index.php/restore-wp-admin-role-using-advance-access-manager-plugin-1165.html](https://www.zensky.net/index.php/restore-wp-admin-role-using-advance-access-manager-plugin-1165.html)..
   It works..
