restoration issues

    I have created local backups and dropbox backups successfully. I have three of each. When I attempt to perform a restore the seconds just keep counting up, I have given it 30 minutes and nothing other than counting happens.

    Note when I perform the backup I see another box to the right populate with three entries, optimization of database tables, creation of database dump, archiving of files. When I click the restore button this box does not appear! There are no messages, just the big box that says ‘please wait…’ and a timer counting up.

    I have tried updating all of my plugins and themes.

    I installed the ‘UpdraftPlus’ plugin and both functions, backup and restore worked.

    I’m switching over to it.

    Restore is different process from the backup. It does not have the box you are talking about at all during the operation.

    When you start restoration process you have one box with time script, where you can see that the process has started.

    You have the box with optimization of database tables, creation of database dump, archiving of files ONLY when you are creating a backup.
