Support » Plugin: Restaurant Reservations » Restaurant Reservations plugin- Booking Manager privilege added to Editor Role

  • Currently, admin role is only one enabled to alter booking settings on our site. I need EDITOR role to also be able to work with bookings settings. How do I enable that?

    Hi @betharoni,

    The following little plugin will allow the editor to alter booking settings:

    To use this, click the Download button, unpack the .zip file, and upload the .php file to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory. You can then activate it from the Plugins screen in your WordPress admin area.

    Is it possible to grant those privileges to the role of plugin (Reservation Manager) so that the reservations manager can add exceptions on the days of the restaurant is full and prevent reservations from being made?

    I really appreciate the great support that this plugin has

    Hi @cantbutron,

    Yes, before uploading the .php file, open it in a text editor and find the following line near the bottom:

    $sap->pages['rtb-settings']->capability = 'edit_pages';

    Change edit_pages to manage_bookings. The Bookings Manager should now be able to access and edit the settings.

    Oh great, was just looking for a solution to allow booking manager to be able to edit settings. Will try this out. Any chance to incorporate this into the plugin itself or where i can modify this?

    Sorry i was looking to modify rtb settings using the bp settings mod. It works now.
