• Without an answer from the developer on why Contact7 needs REST, my clients will be forced to look for alternative form plugins. See all the other posts regarding this topic (with no answer), the lack of documentation regarding the CHANGE to require REST, any reasonable workarounds, and the long list of real and potential security risks in opening the REST API to WAN access.

    I’d love to hear everyone’s comments. I realize that rolling back is an option, but not a real one, since future security patches and bug fixes will almost certainly not be a part of the 4.x branch.
