This is caused by some CSS in the theme. To make things work, please try adding this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:
.entry-content .tablepress {
word-break: normal;
}

It looks better (no line breaks), but it’s no scrolling function.
