Responsive Theme V1.8.4.1 breaks WP V3.8 home page

Hi,

There seems to be a bug in latest version Responsive theme (V 1.8.4.1) with the new WP V3.8 – vis:

In Admin Appearance. (Responsive) Theme Options – ‘Overrides the WordPress front page option’ = NO (unselected)

In Admin Settings Reading – ‘Front Page Displays’: ‘A Static Page’=selected + ‘Front Page’ = ‘Home’ (an existing page I have set up OK).

Result: white screen of death on home page.

(whereas: In Admin Appearance. (Responsive) Theme Options – ‘Overrides the WordPress front page option’ = YES (selected) – the Responsove Theme special home page appears OK. Though I DON’t want this.

Thus it appears Responsoive teme breaks in WP3.8

No other plugins active.

Interestingly, it does all seem to work OK IFF i use a Child theme. (though it is no good if the site breaks when I switch to parent theme – completely the opposite of what might be safely expected)
