Responsive Theme – Home Page Image Slider?

    I am using the Responsive Theme for my company’s site: http://www.solidstreetcapital.com/ . Currently it has a static image for the homepage main graphic. Is there anyway I can turn that image into a “slider” that alternates images and/or messages? Do I need to use a plugin or is there a way to do it within the Responsive Theme? Thanks in advance for any help.
