    Hi All

    First post – please be gentle

    I am using the responsive pro theme and I’d like to show off my background image a little. I’d like to achieve this by making the content box (solid white as standard) slightly translucent.

    I have tried using the custom CSS box with some success, but not exactly what I was after. I’m no code monkey by any means, so please treat me as an idiot.

    I have used the following:

    #wrapper { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, .2);

    color: rgba(0, 0, 0, .2); }

    This has faded out the box nicely, but it’s also taken the text with it.

    Is there a way for me to fade out the white background by around 50%, but retain the solid text?

    All the best

  • Sorry guys – solved my own problem.

    Thought I’d post it up for others though:

    So, I used:

    #wrapper { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, .5);

    color: rgba(0, 0, 0, .9); }

    It seems the top values relate to text colour/trans, and the bottom values relate to BG colour/trans. As you can see, I have created black text with low opacity, and then a white BG and washed it out.

    Or at least – that’s what I think I’ve done!
