Support » Plugin: Elementor Page Builder » responsive option to hide elements: which mobile devices are effected?

  • Hi

Great plugin. I especially like the option to hide elements on different devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). Is there a list to see which mobile devices are affected by the filter?

    Regards, Erich

  • Hi,

This gets deep and technical fast. The mobile breakpoints are set in settings. Now what happens on a device is a View port query. The resulting view width is then used to select which break point your displaying. Here is the crapper. CSS3 is based on 96dpi at a 1:1 rati0. Almost all new devices use Very higgh resolution screens that are huge in pixel density but small in true width. This means that the device has to give a false View Width response to the query.

This is a kick- ss site that will show you the info needed for each device.
There is a chart here that shows models true width. But it is not real helpful for the false reported width or magnifier as i call it.

Here is the “best” generic answer of the reported false width’s
    320dp: a typical phone screen (240×320 ldpi, 320×480 mdpi, 480×800 hdpi, etc).
    480dp: a large phone screen ~5″ (480×800 mdpi).
    600dp: a 7” tablet (600×1024 mdpi).
    720dp: a 10” tablet (720×1280 mdpi, 800×1280 mdpi, etc).

I was told to never link again and I am still being moderated!
