    I am having a little trouble getting my columns to do what I want and I can really use some help.

    I have set up a 2 column layout with multiple rows. The first row has an image on the left and text on the right. The second row has text on the left and image on the right.

    It looks great on larger devices but when it collapses down the 2nd row with the image on the right shifts the image below the text. What I really want is the image to be above the text and I am having a difficult time figuring out what to change and how.

    I would really appreciate some help from an expert.

    I am using the splendid theme, with visual composer. I realize this theme is a commercial theme but I have been sending the developers messages and support tickets for weeks and they wont respond. I really need help with understanding this.

    And so is the plugin (but it looks like that’s bundled with the theme). Unfortunately I don’t know anything about either one. Have you tried the VC support forum?

    I took a quick look at the structure and CSS. On a very high level it appears that the image-text in one row, and text-image in the next row, are generated in that order. Each pair of elements is contained within the row, and set side-by-side using CSS width and float properties in views wider than 992px. When those properties are removed in the mobile views the structure of image-text-text-image still remains and, by default, they are stacked in that order. So, since it appears to be done using CSS, you might be able to come up with something to switch the elements in the second row in mobile views. But VC is not a simple plugin and, without digging into the details of how it interacts with the theme, there’s really no way to know how changes to switch the element order might affect other parts or functions. It’s unfortunate that the theme developers won’t, or have chosen not to, help answer your question. Another avenue you might consider is outside assistance. Here are a couple of options:
