# Responsive – Burger Menu Does Nothing

 * Hi there,
 * Recently installed this theme and I really like it. I want to purchase it but
   before I do so I want to make sure that the when I purchase it the burger menu
   displayed on mobile/small resolution devices actually works – it does nothing
   on the free version.

 * the demo in the themes section appears to have a problem with the mobile menu
   also. The memu should collapse but it doesn’t. I think the theme author needs
   to look at it.

 * Thanks for your messages. When you say “Burger” menu, what do you mean? The Simple
   Theme top menu does collapse on mobile screens – here is a screenshot showing

 * Thanks for coming back to me.
 * The burger menu/navicon is what you’re pointing at (looks like a burger pate 
   between two buns 😉 ) – it just doesn’t seem to do anything on my install – pretty
   sure none of my customisations have broken it (happy to be proven wrong however).

 * I believe this issue will can be resolved by creating a menu in the Menu section
   on the wp-admin dashboard and then assigning it to the “primary menu” location.
   Just look for the checkbox near the bottom of the drag-drop menu editor.
