 * Hi [@soniacrea](https://wordpress.org/support/users/soniacrea/)
 * I couldn’t check your site now due to a connection timeout problem, but it’s
   based on the “Slide background image fill” option: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/56-slider-settings-general](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/56-slider-settings-general)

   how your images look like in the slider. By default the “fill” option is used
   which will make the image as big as it needs to be to cover the whole slider.
   This means that if the slider and image ratios differ, the image will be cropped.
   Based on your description, I find this issue the most likely.
 * If everything seems to look fine on desktop and tablet, you might be using a
   minimum slider height at your selected responsive mode:
    [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/398-responsive-mode-auto#height](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/398-responsive-mode-auto#height)
   [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/399-responsive-mode-fullwidth#height](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/399-responsive-mode-fullwidth#height)
   which changes the default ratio, so the fill mode needs to crop the image.
 * What you can do in the free version is either:
    – removing the minimum height
   setting so the slider will keep the ratio – changing the fill mode to “fit” instead–
   using the Focus points: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1551-how-can-i-move-the-slide-background-image-within-the-slider](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1551-how-can-i-move-the-slide-background-image-within-the-slider)
   set which part of the image should be shown in every responsive scenario
 * In the pro version there’s another way to get around this problem. It’s possible
   to select device specific slide background images at the Slide settings -> Background-
   > Image -> Manage: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1295-slide-settings-background](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1295-slide-settings-background)

   which you can find in Expert mode: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar)

 * Hello, thank you for your answer, but all this does not solve my problem.
    –
   I did not put a minimum height in the responsive mode settings. – My fill mode
   is already on “fit”. – This is the center of my image must appear, on pc and
   tablet is good, but on smartphone sides are cut. I do not understand where this
   problem can come from.

 * Normally you can access the site now

 * Hi,
 * Unfortunately I’m still seeing the same connection error: [https://imgur.com/a/Toi8zEQ](https://imgur.com/a/Toi8zEQ)

   so I can’t check the problem to make a better suggestion.
 * I tried checking the site using a VPN to see if the problem is that you are restricting
   the access based on the visitor’s country and I was able to see the page now.

   Your problem is this: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1552-slide-background-image-vs-content-layer-background](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1552-slide-background-image-vs-content-layer-background)
   So that you’re not using the slide background to set a slide background iamge
   but the Content layer’s background so the fill modes have no effect and the Content
   layer’s fill mode is always “fill”. You should move the images to the slide background
   and that will solve the problem.

 * Thank you so much, sometimes we do not see the most simple things, it solves
   my problem
