By default the “fill” option is used which will make the image as big as it needs to be to cover the whole slider. This means that if the slider and image ratios differ, the image will be cropped. Based on your description, I find this issue the most likely. * If everything seems to look fine on desktop and tablet, you might be using a minimum slider height at your selected responsive mode: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/398-responsive-mode-auto#height](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/398-responsive-mode-auto#height) [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/399-responsive-mode-fullwidth#height](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/399-responsive-mode-fullwidth#height) which changes the default ratio, so the fill mode needs to crop the image. * What you can do in the free version is either: – removing the minimum height setting so the slider will keep the ratio – changing the fill mode to “fit” instead– using the Focus points: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1551-how-can-i-move-the-slide-background-image-within-the-slider](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1551-how-can-i-move-the-slide-background-image-within-the-slider) set which part of the image should be shown in every responsive scenario * In the pro version there’s another way to get around this problem.
