My primary use for this plugin has been the ability to use covers/columns with full-width backgrounds and text in the foreground. About 2 months ago this feature abruptly stopped working- backgrounds now display as a separate column. In the page editor, covers still appear as backgrounds with text overlay, but when viewed in multiple browsers there is no overlay- only split columns.

I’ve included some screenshots below. Please help me resolve this error so that the layout seen in the editor is what displays to site visitors.

Is support active for this plugin?

Hi @tdnorrison – sorry for the delayed response. We’ll look into this issue. Can you confirm which version of WordPress and which version of Editor Plus you are using?

Also, are you using the Gutenberg plugin currently?

    Thanks!

Glad to know you are looking into it!

The site is running the latest version of WordPress (5.7.2) and the latest version of Editor plus (2.8.1) and the issue of backgrounds being split into another column instead of displaying as a background persists.

This seems like an odd issue that I am not able to replicate on my end. I assume there is another plugin causing this, could you please do the following to debug it.

    1. Disable all plugins except Editor Plus
    2. Clear cache if any or test in the private/incognito browser mode to see if the issue has been resolved or not.
    3. If the issue has been resolved, that means there is a conflicting plugin that we need to trace.
    4. Activate your plugins one by one to find out when the issue happens again.

If the issue remains as it is even when you disable all other plugins and cleared the cache, kindly also test by switching your theme to find out if that’s causing it.

Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Munir
