 * I have a question about the functions of the Smushit plugin:
    If I upload a 2048
   ×2048 image of 600 dpi, I know Smushit can resize and compress the image. But
   will it also reduce the resolution to 96 or 72 dpi? Or is that something I have
   to do manually beforehand?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fresolution-question%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@docsheldon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/docsheldon/),
 * The dpi should stay the same, you should adjust it manually.
 * Best regards,
    Anton

 * Thanks for the response, Anton. Even though it wasn’t the one I was hoping for.
 * Cheers,

 * Anton, do you happen to know of any plugin that will automatically adjust DPI?

 * [@docsheldon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/docsheldon/),
 * I would bulk adjust via Photoshop or any other image editor. There’s really no
   point in having 90 DPI images. Monitors and web only need 72, and for print you’d
   need 300.
 * Best regards,
    Anton
