Try this:
.navbar .navbar-inner {
margin: 14px 20px 10px 320px;
width: 63%;
}
Thanks so much! I tweaked the numbers a little and it’s pretty close to what I wanted. Take a look now, suggestions for getting the box tighter on the top?
I am also wondering if there’s a way to make the tabs on the menu appear more like tabs and indicate which page you’re currently browsing? Should I start a new topic for this?
Yes it would, as other people will only see ‘Resize Menu’ and not look further for the next questions.
Try:
.navbar .nav {
top: -40px;
}
.navbar .navbar-inner {
max-height: 40px;
}
You know what I noticed? When I look at the site with my iPhone the menu bar is waaay over to the right. Does that have to do with the modifications?
I’m afraid you need to understand about @media in your CSS. Start with:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/media-queries-are-overriding-the-native-css
The theme is responsive which means it will adapt out-of-the-box, but as soon as you do a lot of customising then you need to do more.
Where are the edits being made to resize the navigation bar? Mine currently wraps and I don’t see .navbar-inner in my style sheet
skytoxicology.com
And that’s because you’re not using the Customizr Theme!
Very dangerous to add to posts from 8 months ago anyway as versions have updated since then.
