    Hi,

so far i am very satisfied with this plugin as well as the Image Optimizer plugin…

Normally, I upload full size images and let the Shortpixel Image Optimizer resize and optimze these images. With the AI plugin, there’s currently no possibility to resize large images. Is this planned for an upcoming release?

I do not want that users are able to download the original, full size image from my site….

During my tests I’ve noticed, that AI is not working with the WP Retina 2x plugin when the Picturefill method is enabled. On my testing site, there will be then no images loaded/shown… How do AI handle images for retina screens?

    Thank you!

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
thank you for testing SPAI and for your positive feedback 🙂

For resizing images, for now, you could use this other plugin that we have:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/resize-image-after-upload/
But it is an interesting idea, we may consider adding this feature to SPAI plugin as well.

About the issue you noted with retina x2: thank for bringing this up. What I can tell you for now is that we’re planning on making it so that it won’t be needed anymore 🙂

    Best regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

thank you very much for your answer!

I missed your plugin “resize images after upload”… This is a good alternative solution – thank you.

Now, I’m already curious, what comes next 🙂

    Daniel
