Resize bug in 6.2.x (6.1 works fine)

    Since 6.2.x there is an annoying bug, we experience on our site:

    If you scroll down, the „Documenation“ button (right hand widget column) stays fixed = OK.
    If you scroll further (i.e. to the page bottom) and then scroll up again, the horizontal button gets displayed vertically – and HUGE. Worse: it stays this way. Only a page reload solve this temporarily – untill the next scroll down.

    We had hoped other users experience the same issue as it’s prevalent for some time. We had reverted to 6.1.x which does not show this bug.

    In case there is no solution untill Dec 6th, we will roll back to 6.1 again. We are leaving the buggy 6.2.x for your verification only at the moment.

    We‘d also be happy if there is a work-around from the community (other than the roll-back 😉

    Thanks for reporting your problem.

    But it looks like you refer to the Fixed Widget plugin, not Advanced Ads. If so, can you please copy your topic into a new thread in the Fixed Widget forum to ensure that you will get help as soon as possible?

    We went to our plugins and clicked the developer’s names of Fixed Widget plugin. This yield to the website https://wpadvancedads.com/fixed-widget-wordpress
    There we have chosen “Support>Get Help” from the menu, which linked to this forum.

    If this is not correct, well I suggest you clean up your navigation and don’t ask your clients to repeat themselfs. If you are NOT the developers of Fixed Widget, I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    We’ll now roll back to 6.1 and will migrate to a different plugin.

    I’m sorry if you felt dismissed by my response; that was not my intention.

    You are correct that there is a link in our website’s footer to our customers’ support page. There, non-customers will find a link to ask questions about Advanced Ads in the related forum on wordpress.org and get help.

    There is also a support link under the Resources subheading in the Fixed Widget plugin’s linked documentation. This link leads to the Fixed Widget forum. I take your answer as an impulse to discuss whether we need to clarify this better.

    Thomas is the developer of Advanced Ads and develops Fixed Widget. I, in turn, answer many support tickets for Advanced Ads in this forum, but I cannot assist users with problems caused by the Fixed Widget plugin. That’s why questions about this plugin are best addressed in the related forum.

    If you don’t find another plugin, I’m happy if you continue to use the Fixed Widget plugin.
