 * Support,
 * I’d like to use this plugin to reset by staging site (boulevardcg.com/staging)
   so I can import a clean demo of my theme.
 * If I use this plugin on my staging site, will this impact my live site (boulevardcg.
   com)?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Freset-staging-site%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi,
 * No, it won’t impact it, that’s a staging site. A completely different installation
   than the production one.
    BUT due to this being a very sensitive topic I would
   recommend you double-check with your hosting provider. WP Reset only touches
   the WP installation it’s installed on. So if these are 2 separate installations–
   you’re good 🙂

 * Hi WebFactory,
 * I created the staging environment with the WP-Staging plugin ([https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/)).
   In the description of the plugin, it notes that, “It creates a clone of your
   website into a subfolder of your main WordPress installation including an entire
   copy of your database.”
 * If i’m reading this right, it sounds like this is still using a single installation,
   right? So probably a no go for the reset?

 * No, quite the contrary. It creates a copy of the database and files so you can
   test things on the staging site. So you’re good to go.
    Before resetting completely
   you can delete a few posts/pages on the staging site and see that they will still
   be available on the production one.
 * If you have a minute please rate the plugin. It helps us out a lot. Thank you!
