Support » Plugin: Theme My Login » Reset Password Form and Extra Field in Firefox

  • Everything else seems to be working completely fine with this plugin, so overall very happy with it.

However, when a user clicks the link in an email to reset their password, there is NO input form to enter a new password in to, this happens in all browsers. How can this be fixed/when will it be working?

Also, in Firefox only, next to the Submit button on all forms, there is an extra text input field – This does seem to have “type=”hidden” set to it, but is being ignored by Firefox, how can this be fixed also?

Does this happen on a bundled theme such as Twenty Seventeen?

    Hi Jeff,
Seems to work as expected on the Twenty Fifteen theme – It isnt working a custom theme ive developed, so i can see any reason why it wouldnt be working.

Are there any dependancies or something obvious coding wise that would stop it from working?

Also, the password field displays characters as plain text too (in FireFox only) – Any ideas?

Ok, so the issue seems to be that in FireFox, before the type=”hidden” or type=”password”, an   is being added in, if i remove this in Inspector, the form is correct.

So now the question is, how do i permanently remove this   from being added in to the input form/field?

If it works on Twenty Fifteen, but not your theme, that says there must be something within your theme causing it. My guess would the that it’s CSS related.
