‘Reset Password’ Button Freezes

    Hi. on my /lost-password/ page, when you click the ‘reset password’ button it simply greys out and nothing happens. The page doesn’t redirect, no message is shown, and no email comes through. What could be the cause of this? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it hasn’t helped.

    Please make sure that the reCaptcha details you have filled in is correct. I was unable to register due to reCaptcha error.

    Thanks Saroj. I’ve just checked and the reCaptcha is fine. Notice that on this page the reCaptcha badge shows fine.
    But on the ‘lost password’ page it does not.

    Any idea why that is?

    Any ideas? I have a live website where the same problem occurs. No email is sent either, so it looks like the button is not triggering anything at all.

    Thank you for your help. I’ve fixed that now. It seems I needed to add ‘staging.’ to the recaptcha key settings. Please try again.

    Hi @wpeverestsupportrep, I have a similar issue – the password reset form button in the DOM is set to disabled and doesn’t submit. Inputting either a known username or email address doesn’t even validate with any message, and I’m getting no errors thrown in the console.

    Please look at the link to the page and see the issue.

    I originally had issues with Recaptcha V3 on the registration form which is located on the same page, but I refreshed the keys and it resumed working. I hoped this would also fix the password reset, but no luck.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi @wpeverestsupportrep. I’m still struggling with this. If you could guarantee a fix, I’d upgrade to premium. But I’ve checked everything, including:
    – Deactivating all plugins
    – Checking the recaptcha v3 keys
    – Following your documentation on setting up recaptcha

    But still the problem persists.

    I got the same issue. I have setup my wordpress with User Registration Plugin. For the reset password page, it doesn’t work. After I key in the “username or email” and click on “Reset Password” button, the page freeze no redirection. I have not turn on the reCaptcha feature. I have checked with “Inspect” page, there are no API can or redirect called. The only change is, “disabled” props is added to the submit form.

    Please help to fix the issue. Thanks a lot.
