Reservations form how to change the date format to m,d,Y

On my reservations form, when the user clicks on the calendar for date, it at first displays as : month/day/year, but then when they click to another field, it changes to year/month/date.

That format is not how I want it. It has been bothering me now for over a year. I do not want to contact the company that initiallly did my website. I do not see the point in spending x$s for a quick fix.
I have looked through many of the php files and the css files, and nothing that allows me to change it to the format I prefer.

My account I believe has the plugins all-in-one seo,contact from 7, fast secure contact form. I have spent over 12 hours tinkering around trying to get it changed and I find no documentation on how to do so. The material I find does not apply to what i have, it onlys say how to write the code in php, that is not helpful if i do not know exactly what to look for.

assistance with this would be excellent. i am tried of wasting another minute on how to configure it if I do not know what to look for or where to find the exact place to make the change.
