# Requiring Search Fields

 * Hi!
 * I was wondering if there was anyway to make the search fields require. Currently,
   if you have a form, a user can use one field to search or all. I would like to
   make it mandatory to select an option in all fields available.
 * I can’t seem to find a solution the web so far.

 * I solved the problem. BP Profile Search does not natively support validation 
   so I looked online and used a tutorial at the link below. It’s not a very clean
   approach but it works! You can ignore parts of that teach you how to make a form,
   etc.
