    Hi @wilsonimport!

Could you please provide more information about the issues you encountered with the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin, as well as any impact Jetpack had on your experience?

We truly value feedback from our merchants, and your insights would be immensely helpful for our team as they continue to improve the plugin.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Paulo,

Nice to meet you. The problem is very simple, this plugin forces you to install Jetpack, I don’t see why, and as you can see in the ratings comments, nobody like it. And don’t say “Jetpack is required for WooCommerce Shipping & Tax to function properly to receive the tax rates” you can do that in the plugin itself if you want it.

Thanks for the additional details @wilsonimport!

The WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin is built on top of services that run on WordPress.com, so, for that reason, it does require the site to be connected to WordPress.com.

Traditionally, Jetpack was required for the connection. However, later developments have allowed other plugins of ours (WooCommerce Payments and Google Listings & Ads) the ability to connect to WordPress.com without the Jetpack plugin.

I don’t know if that functionality will make its way to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax one day, but I’m sure the team appreciates your feedback.

    Thank you!
