Support » Plugin: MailPoet - emails and newsletters in WordPress » Required Paid Email List Cleaning to Use

  • MailPoet would not un-pause my sending unless I paid a third party cleaning service to review my email list. I have read this complaint from multiple users in the support forum.

The email builder was very limited in the ability to format products or create product galleries.

    I do not recommend MailPoet.

    Hi @wbress01,

Sorry to hear the plugin didn’t work for you as expected. We would be happy to know more details on which features you missed from our editor, so we could improve it in the future.

Regarding the 3rd-party list cleaning service, you don’t need to pay for one if you don’t want it. However, you should go through the addresses in your list to verify them and get rid of the invalid email addresses. There are many tools online to do that, but a list cleaning service is more convenient.

Alternatively, you could start a new list from scratch, manually check for invalid email addresses, or send an email from your personal email client asking the users to reconfirm their subscription.

    Hello, Bruna.

Through multiple back and forth emails with support, I was consistently told to use a paid cleaning service. It was not until I notified support of my intention to cancel my subscription to MailPoet before they offered to waive this requirement. By the time support had replied with that concession, I had already cancelled and moved to another provider.

    Thank you.

I’m sorry our communication was not clear with you.

Please note we recommend some list cleaning services on this page, and some of them offer free plans for small lists of subscribers. Also, we mention the alternative option to reconfirm subscribers.

If you’re willing to give the MailPoet Sending Service a second try in the future, we’re happy to help you check if everything is properly set up on your end before sending your emails with us.

    Thank you!
